"Gugu gu" is actually the Spotted Dove. It resembles a pigeon but has white spots on its neck. They often move in flocks and feed on grass seeds, grains, fallen fruits, and other plant seeds.
It is a bird that is very accustomed to human interaction, often living in cities. Besides rooftops and air conditioner covers, they are easily seen in parks or gardens, appearing in Hong Kong year-round.
